We are the SmoothMotion DJs

I want to introduce you to the Smooth Motion Disc Jockey group, composed of 4 very talented African-American performing arts students.

All four students sing, dance, and perform. We started our group in October, 2004. They have performed at 28 events! Each event has been amazingly well received. They have done private parties, as well as last year’s graduation party for Head Royce Middle School. They performed their first Batmitzvah Party in Sept, 2005 at the Oakland Museum to the cheers of the participants. You should have seen all the adults and youth dancing together! Jonathan also composed and sang a special rap song to the Batmizvah girl including special information about the Batmizvah girl provided by her mom. This was amazingly successful and unique I might add!

They performed their second Bar Mitzvah party last weekend. Another smashing success!

I have known these kids for over 7 years, and I can attest to their character and skills. I personally purchased the DJ equiptment so these kids could use their skills to help them get a “jumpstart” on life. We have professional DJ equiptment, including flashing lights, strobe, smoke machine, and bubble machine. They have the ability to perform many games, should they be necessary. We have a variety of Jewish music including Harry Belafonte’s version of Hava Nagila.
